Francisco Miró Quesada Cantuarias (1918-2019)
Persuvian philosopher, he coined in 1976 the expresssion "paraconsistent logic" on a request by his friend Newton da Costa.
He was the first person of the Americas (North, Central or South) to hold the position of President of the International Federation of Philosophy Societies, FISP.
A special issue of the South American Journal of Logic will be published in his honor.
